The Brainerd Area Zonta Club will have their annual fashion show on April 26 at Cragun's Legacy Club House. Social hour is at 5:30 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and style show at 7 p.m. The theme of the fashion show is 2001: A Fashion Odyssey. 17th annual fiddlers' contest
The 17th annual fiddlers' contest will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Pillager High School old gym. Cost: $3. There will be 20 fiddlers participating.

Defensive Driving Classes
St. Joseph's Medical Center is sponsoring defensive driving classes authorized by the National Safety Council and taught by Sgt. Ray Bye. The refresher class will be from 12:30-4:30 p.m. April 9. The Lakes and Woods Horticultural Club will meet at 7 p.m. Monday at the Mille Lacs Electric Cooperative meeting room in Aitkin. Daniel Dix will present the evening's program, The Garden Sanctuary--A Place of Refuge in a Chaotic World. A business meeting and brief sharing time will precede Mr. Dix's seminar.
