ST. CLOUD - T. J. Struss broke a Central Lakes Conference indoor track and field meet record with his 7.11 in the 60-meter dash to lead the Brainerd Warriors boys' team to first Saturday.
Senior T.J. Struss broke meet record in 60-meter dash.
Also winning for Brainerd were Alex Rahn in the 400 dash with a time of 55.20 and Scott Ramey with 45-foot-11 toss in the shot put.
The squad of Colby Ring, Rahn, Christopher Swanson and Struss captured the 4x100 relay as Brainerd amassed 152 1/2 team points.
We had some very nice performances in the sprints, 1600, long jump, hurdles and shot put, said Warriors boys' coach Rod Reuer. We had good balance in all the events. I'm really happy with performances of our returning veterans and our young jumpers and sprinters such as Joey Nelson, Jacob Goodew, Dan Lauer, Jordan Hayes and Dakota Swenson.
Nelson leaped to a 20-foot-8 1/2 to win the long jump and land in the Warriors honor roll.
