Mabel A. Nygaard

Mabel A. Nygaard, age 87, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2005, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd. Mabel was born on Dec. 19, 1917, in Little Falls to Charles and Minnie (Bergman) Anderson.

She married Harold H. Nygaard on July 11, 1948. Mabel was a longtime member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, St. Mary's Guild and CW Guild.

Survived by her two sons, Frederick (Karen) Nygaard and David Nygaard; her daughter, Carol Swift; four granddaughters; and five great-granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; one sister, Minerva; and five brothers, Ernest, Willard, George, John and Alvah.

Services will be Thursday, March 31, 2005, at 1 p.m. at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brainerd with Father Glenn Derby officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Brainerd. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 30, from 5-7 p.m. at the Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
