PINE RIVER -- Thirteen young women will vie for the title of Miss Pine River 2005 at the Miss Pine River Pageant 7 p.m. Saturday at Pine River-Backus High School.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students and senior citizens, and free for children ages 6 and under.
Candidates include Michelle Breccia, Ashley Carlson, Nicole Gearns, Kayla Hamilton, Hanna Hicks, Lacy Hill, Jamie Kline, Tara Pollock, Chelsi Richards, Jessica Roubal, Danielle Sonenstahl, Ann Tulenchik and Tracy Zeman.
The theme is "Hollywood." Candidates will be judged on personal interview, casual dress and evening dress.
Master of ceremonies will be Terrie Griep. Miss Pine River 2004, Sarah Walker, and her court consisting of First Princess Jamie Fey, Second Princess Katie Anderson and Miss Congeniality Mary Devorak, will attend the pageant.
This is the 26th annual Miss Pine River Pageant. The pageant is sponsored each year by the Pine River Chamber of Commerce.
