Perpich MVP gymnast

Katie Perpich finished off a steller gymnastices career by capturing the Brainerd Warriors most valuable player award at Saturday's gymnastics banquet.

Pepich also earned All-State Elite, All-State and All-Central Lakes Conference honors. Other awards given out Saturday:

Letterwinners -- Perpich, Lauren Trapp, Tonya Redshaw, Jessica Lofrano, Kathleen Lorenz, Jenna Niggeler, Breanna Sinner, Nicole Smith, Lauren Deyo, Tessa Helland, Kara Rutman, Maggie Freiday, Arianna Lofrano,Carlie Kramer, Samantha Smith.

All-Central Lakes Conferene -- Perpich, Lorenz

All-Conference honorable mention -- Rutman, Freiday

Scholor All-Conference -- Perpich, Trapp

All-State -- Perpich, Lorenz, Dayo, Freiday

True Grit Award -- Trapp

Pacesetter Award -- Redshaw

Rookie of the year -- Samantha Smith

Most improved varsity -- Redshaw

Most improved junior varsity -- Sinner

The Nines award -- Perpich, Lorenz, Dayo, Helland, Rutman, Freiday, Nicole Smith.

Next year's captains -- Lorenz, Niggeler, Nicole Smith

Youth baseball coaches to meet

The Brainerd Parks and Recreation Department's youth baseball coaches meeting will take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Brainerd Public Utilities building, located on Highland Scenic Drive.

The meeting is for all Mustang, Bronco and Pony League coaches.
