Joyce Marie Tesmer was found Wednesday outside near a garage, which was destroyed. It was not clear how the fire started or how Tesmer was injured.
She was flown to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, where she died Wednesday night.
The fire was reported about 2:50 p.m. and burned about two acres of woods and grassland just north of Becker.
Sibley sheriff accused of grabbing woman HENDERSON, Minn. (AP) -- It's up to the state attorney general's office whether to charge Sibley County Sheriff Doug Schulte over allegations that he grabbed a woman at a bar while off duty and touched her against her will.
The state Bureau of Criminal Apprehension handled the investigation for Sibley County authorities to avoid a conflict of interest.
Acting BCA director Michael Campion said the investigation is finished, and the case has been turned over to the attorney general's office to decide whether charges should be filed.
Bethel city administrator charged
BETHEL (AP) -- The Bethel city administrator, who also is the wife of Bethel's mayor, is charged with swindling the city out of $20,000.
According to a criminal complaint, Sandy Trossen took the city funds largely by buying bank checks with a city account and using them to make mortgage payments.
Not part of the charge are allegations that Trossen allowed city employees, residents and business owners to make purchases on city accounts and pay back the debt later. Those accusations, made by a former city employee, had sparked a police investigation.
