20 years ago (1985)

First Federal Savings and Loan of Brainerd is sponsoring a special exhibit called "Made in Brainerd," to highlight the work of area manufacturers.

30 years ago (1975)

Dennis Flanagan, who joined the 700 Club here last October with a 719 in the King Pins League, rolled 712 in the strike and spare league. Flanagan opened at LaGuyal Lanes with a 250 game, and followed with a 236 and a 217 for his big count.

40 years ago (1965)

Burglars gained about $107 in cash in a break-in of the Northern Pacific depot here yesterday noon. The break-in was sometime between noon and 4 p.m. when the office was closed.

60 years ago (1945)

80 years ago (1925)

Gladioli bulbs to the number of 21,750 have been ordered by Brainerd residents as a part of the "Make Brainerd Bloom" campaign and this amount will no doubt be increased before the time limit runs out.
