The owner of the former Chaz's Restaurant announced plans today to remodel the former popular downtown dining spot into rental space for fashion clothing shops. Isaacs recently purchased the building located at Sixth and Laurel Streets.

30 years ago (1974)

The A Cappella choir will sing with the Hamline University Choir at the Park United Methodist Church April 4 at 8 p.m.

40 years ago (1964)

It's volleyball night tonight for Brainerd's service clubs and the YMCA Secretary reports that the Rotary, Kiwanis, Exchange, and Optimist Clubs are going all out to attempt to upset the Lions.

60 years ago (1944)

Brainerd is included in a "feeder" airline program to embrace Minnesota in the Post War period.

80 years ago (1924)

Kids notice: 5 matinee at the new park Wednesday at 2:15. All kids under 12 years 5. Everybody's going. Have you tried maple nut ice cream? It's perfectly delicious, in bulk only, 60 quart at McColl's.

100 years ago (1904)

F.E. Ward, general manager of the Great Northern, has just assured a delegation from Milaca that the company would build there a new station which would cost $20,000.
