The following Cass County Public Health adult clinics are scheduled in April.
-- 12:30 to 2 p.m. April 25 in Pillager at Pillager Senior Citizens Center.
-- 1 to 4:30 p.m. April 18 in Hackensack at Hackensack Senior Center.
-- 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 20 in Boy River at Jerry's Bar.
-- 9 to 11:30 a.m. April 17 in Cass Lake at Four Seasons Apartments.
-- 1 to 3 p.m. April 19 in Longville at YAH Senior Center.
-- 10 a.m. to noon April 18 in Walker at Quam Court, foot clinic only.
Public health nurses will assess at no charge: Health History, Blood Pressure, Blood glucose, Medications Management. Foot Care: Cut toenails, ingrown toenails, calluses. There is a $7 charge for foot care and people are asked to bring a towel and basin to foot care clinics.
April schedule set for Cass County WIC nutrition program
The following is the Cass County Wic Nutrition program schedule for April:
Pine River -- 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. April 5-6 at Pine River Family Center.
Walker -- 9:30 to 11:30 a.m and 1 to 2 p.m. April 10 at Hope Lutheran Church.
Remer -- 9:30 to 11:30 a.m and 1 to 2 p.m April 12 at city hall.
Pillager -- Noon to 2:30 p.m. April 18 and 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 19 at Family Resource Center.
Good Beginnings nurse is available at WIC clinics to answer questions.

Cass County Public Health has a grant allowing free mammograms and pap tests for women age 40 and over. Generous income guidelines available upon request. Please call 218-547-2855 for more information.

Immunizations available for preschoolers include diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, measles, mumps, rubella, polio, hib., hep. B,. varicella; for school age children all the above except hib; for adults, diphtheria, tetanus.
Charge is $3 per immunization. Bring current record.
Receive a free reading book for your child by getting an initial immunization series completed by 20 months of age.
Youth Congress plans event
The Mississippi Headwaters Youth Congress and open house will take place from 4-8 p.m. April 4 at Walker-Hackensack-Akeley High School in Walker.
The public is invited to attend the open house. A pizza supper will be provided by parents as a fund-raiser for those students involved in an international exchange program for water quality monitoring with Russia.
Science students will host eight counties of students who monitor water quality of the connecting surface waters in the upper Mississippi River basin. Each school will bring a display describing their project. The public is invited to attend and talk and listen to students explain their work.
During the Congress, students and other interested parties will participate in a Mississippi River impact game which will highlight the impacts of various decision-making processes along the surface waters. Jodi Sandmeyer, a teacher at Nevis High School, will describe about she used River Watch to fulfill the state graduation standards.

Crosslake Library Committee plans used book sale
The Crosslake Library Committee will sponsor a used book sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 14 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 15 at the Crosslake Community Center. The event is designed to raise funds for the proposed Crosslake Library.
Used books may be brought and donated to the Community Center from noon to 6 p.m. April 13.
