BHS boys, girls tally eight wins

ST. CLOUD - The Brainerd Warriors boys' and girls' track and field teams combined to win six individual events and two relays at Saturday's Husky Classic at St. Cloud State University.

Brainerd's Luke Delaney won the 3,200-meter run while Darin Underhill won the shot put, Ryan Barnes captured the high jump and Hans Stadem took home first in the pole vault. The Warriors 4x400 relay team of Delaney, Tom Thurstin, Scott Ramey and Tyler Hanson also took first place. Austin Lesmeister's triple jump of 41-0 1/2 was an honor roll performance.

For the Brainerd girls, Hannah McAllister won the 800 run and Robyn Wernberg won the shot put with an honor roll toss of 35-10 1/2. The 4x800 team of McAllister, Anna Gessell, Katherine Mueller and Jenna Dean also took first place.

Little Falls Katherine Harms won both the high jump and long jump while Jackie Thelen captured the 60 hurdles and Beth Hauer won the 3,200.

The Flyers' John Dunlap was the lone boys winner as he took first in the 1,600.
