Governors eliminate Flyers

MINNEAPOLIS - Unseeded Little Falls gave third-seeded St. Paul Johnson fits before the Flyers fell 88-72 in the quarterfinals of the Class 3A state tournament Wednesday at Williams Arena.
The Flyers trailed by as many as 19 points in the second half but Johnson missed 17 free throws in the half to enable scrappy Little Falls to stay close.
Ronnie Kornbaum led Little Falls with 24 points before fouling out. Dan Kornbaum added 19 and Nick Erdrich 16 for Little Falls, which finished their season 18-12.
