Lorna S. Wieland, 84, Brainerd, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at Woodland Good Samaritan Village of Brainerd.
She was born Jan. 10, 1916, in Melrose. She graduated magna cum laude from St. Cloud State College. She was in the Red Cross, stationed in Europe during World War II. She had a teaching career in Brainerd and was a product researcher for Proctor and Gamble. She married Jim Wieland and moved to St. Paul. In 1981, she returned to the family home on Lake Hubert.
Survivors include four daughters, Lucy Wieland, Mary Wieland Nolan, Jane Gruenhagen and Liz Martin; and four grandchildren.
Her husband, and a son, Walter "Butch" Wieland, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at First Congregational Church of Brainerd. Memorials are preferred to Lake Hubert Conservation Club.
Friends may call at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home of Brainerd from 5-7 p.m. Friday.
