Just after noon Friday a man ran into a downtown Brainerd business and reported he had just been assaulted by a man with a gun.

Brainerd Police officers responded and were able to trace the suspect to a residence in southeast Brainerd. A short standoff took place with the suspect. But the man surrendered to police without incident.

There were no injuries in this matter. Brainerd Police are presently investigating with follow-up interviews.
