Erin Sullivan, of Baxter, is a University Ambassador at Bemidji State University for the 2007-2008 school year. Sullivan is a sophomore majoring in elementary education. The University Ambassadors are a part of recruitment and public relations efforts at BSU.
Eight hurt in van rollover
AITKIN - Eight men between the ages of 20-28 were injured after their van went out of control on icy Highway 169 and crashed into a ditch about 8 a.m. Sunday just north of Aitkin, the State Patrol reported.

Dinosaurs on the move

The fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq prompted a flurry of speeches from President Bush and the Democratic candidates who hope to inherit the White House next year. Sadly, what they had in common was their failure to grapple with hard realities - beginning with the elusiveness of any clear or quick path toward Mr. Bush's promise of "victory," or that of Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama to "end this war."
