Four generations recently gathered were Coltyn Soderman, son; 2nd Class Petty Officer Ryan Soderman, father; Patti Hesse, grandmother; and Edith Mangelsen, great-grandmother. The photo was taken while visiting Ryan at his base on Whidbey Island, Wash., before he leaves on the Nimitz for the Persian Gulf.
