The Brainerd Lakes Area Women of Today and ECFE will be having an Easter party from 10 a.m. to noon April 7 at the District No. 181 Learning Center in the big gym. Cost is $2.50 per child. Adults are free with a non-perishable food item to donate to the food shelf.
There will be crafts, frosting Easter cookies, an Easter egg hunt and bean bag toss. Those interested can have their picture taken with real bunnies.
Money raised will be donated to the ECFE scholarship fund.

The Woodland Wildflower Red Hat group will meet at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Applebee's.
Women's spring luncheon scheduled
BAXTER - The Newcomers' Club will have the annual women's spring luncheon at 11:30 a.m. March 31 at Prairie Bay in Baxter for residents new to the area, current members and club alumni.
A gourmet lunch will be served along with a wine tasting and cooking demonstration. The event costs $15 per person. Call to reserve a seat.

Firearm safety training
A firearm safety training class will begin 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Brainerd VFW. Students must be 12 years old. Adults welcome to take the class. Classes will meet at 6:30 p.m. after the first night. 23rd annual fiddlers' contest
PILLAGER - The 23rd annual fiddlers' contest will be 7 p.m. March 31 at Pillager High School. Cost: $4. There will be an in-house raffle with tickets sold at the contest. Grand raffle tickets are available from fair board members.

Benefit for Baerbel Schaum planned
EAST GULL LAKE - There will be a benefit for Baerbel Schaum from 6-10 p.m. April 1 at Ernie's on Gull Lake. There will be raffles, a silent auction and prizes. Cost: $20 donation for dinner. Kids 10 and under are free.

Easter basket fundraiser
The Bethany second annual silent auction Easter basket fundraiser will run through Tuesday with winning bids announced at 3 p.m. There are more than 70 baskets including children, baby, Easter decor, candy dishes, etc.
The baskets are located in the front entry of Bethany Good Samaritan.
The funds raised will help pay for continued improvements for the Campbell Room.
