On Friday, March 2, the sixth-grade students of Pioneer Elementary had the opportunity to spend a morning fishing on Platte Lake for our ninth annual fishing contest. Our fishing experience was made possible by Red's Auto which supplied the bait.
We also had the opportunity to learn some secrets and techniques from members of the Harding Sportsman Club. I'm pleased to say we had many members of the group there to help out. We even had conservation officer Paul Kuske from the DNR there to help as well as parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. This year we caught a record 374 fish. It was a huge success. We want to express our sincere thanks to all these people for making this fishing experience a true Minnesota experience. We had a great time!
Special thanks to Red's Auto and Bait, Ken's Kans, Officer Paul Kuske and Harding Sportsman Club.
