REMER -- Jerome "Jerry" S. Archer, 43, Remer, died Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at North Country Regional Hospital of Bemidji.
He was born April 14, 1956, in Grand Rapids. He graduated from Remer High School in 1975. He graduated from Staples Vo-Tech in diesel mechanics in 1977. He worked for Eagle Construction, Zorman Trucking as a mechanic, Miller Construction as a carpenter and for Roy Ahlbom as a carpenter and stone mason, all of Remer. He moved to Bemidji and worked for six years for Hugh Krause as a carpenter. In 1995, he returned to Remer and worked at High Tech Milling until his health forced him to retire early. He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church of Remer.
Survivors include his parents, Anna and Bobby Archer, Remer; three sisters, Dianne Archer and Joanne Krause, both of Bemidji, and Sharon Moran, Grand Rapids; and four brothers, Dennis Archer, Duluth, Douglas Archer, Baxter, James Archer, Deering, N.H., and Gregory Archer, Remer.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at St. Augustine's Catholic Church of Cohasset with the Rev. Bruce Engen and the Rev. Charles Flynn officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery of Remer.
Friends may call at Rowe Funeral Home of Remer from 5-7 p.m. Saturday with a prayer service at 7 p.m. The Rev. Roland Antus will officiate.
