Voters in Crow Wing County's Lake Edward Township voted by a 2-1 margin in favor of constructing a town hall earlier this month.
Addressing the question, "Shall the town board use the established building fund to construct a modern town hall," 80 voters said yes and 40 said no. Leonard Wagner was re-elected supervisor with 98 votes. Other candidates were Jon Wennberg, 3 votes; Judy Shire, 3 votes; Dave Luke, 3 votes; and Mike Udean, 1 vote.
Martha Look, was re-elected clerk with 112 votes while Deanna Sprau had 3 votes.
JENKINS
Sharon Thurlow was elected clerk and Patti Bullen were elected supervisor. They each received 15 votes.
CENTER
Terry Ebinger was elected supervisor with 19 votes, defeating John McCabe, 2; and Del Woese, 1. Linda McCabe was elected clerk with 21 votes compared to 1 vote for Mary Petersen.
CROW WING
Scott Pakarinen was elected supervisor with 30 votes. Craig Sawyer had 1 vote. Virginia Rogers was unopposed as clerk with 33 votes.
DAGGET BROOK
Bruce Caughey was elected to a two-year term as supervisor. He had 66 votes compared to Tony Cossette, 1. Dave Schubert garnered 69 votes to Russell Pulak's 1 vote for the three--year supervisor term. Kris Schubert garnered 70 votes in winning the clerk post.
FAIRFIELD
Kai Allen was elected supervisor with 21 votes. Marianne Auge was elected clerk with 20 votes.
FORT RIPLEY
Phil Trusty was elected supervisor and Stan Dobosenski Sr. was elected clerk with each person receiving 18 votes.
GAIL LAKE
Dale Brammann defeated R.W. Eckerson 5-3 for the supervisor spot. Marvin Fiemer had 4 votes to win the clerk-treasurer.
GARRISON
Edna Ulrich was elected Garrison Township supervisor with 60 votes. The other candidates were Bob Emery, 27 and David Larson, 12.
IRONDALE
Brian Biever was elected supervisor with 52 votes. Receiving 1 vote apiece were William Hanson, Warren Buchite, Dan Ethen and Les Wood. Gayle Hanson defeated Thomas E. Bedard 34-25 for the clerk post.
LITTLE PINE
Harold LeBlanc defeated Dave Hodges 25-14 for the supervisor post. Clerk vote totals were Audrey LeBlanc, 31; Alice Heglund, 3; and Dale Gognon, 1.
LONG LAKE
Darwin Hanson garnered had 19 votes in his election to the supervisor spot. Patsy Olson won the clerk spot with 20 votes.
OAK LAWN
Rick Adair was elected to a three-year supervisor term with 18 votes. Judy Zelinske was elected clerk with 16 votes. Janet Jones and Judy Zetter Vall each received 1 write-in vote for clerk.
PELICAN
John C. Johnson was elected supervisor and Shirley Wallin was elected clerk. Each candidate received 14 votes.
PLATTE LAKE
Richard Brace defeated incumbent Supervisor Edward Woitalla 6-5. Robert Dambowy was elected clerk with Brace receiving 1 write-in vote.
RABBIT LAKE
There was no opposition as Ellen Ebnet had 64 votes for supervisor and Linda Danielson had 62 votes for clerk.
ROSS LAKE
Charlie Banks was elected supervisor and Joyce E. Newmann was elected clerk. Each candidate had 26 votes.
ST. MATHIAS
Clayton Eisel had 13 votes and was elected supervisor. Mary Sather had 13 votes and was elected clerk.
TIMOTHY
Marty Griffin defeated Kathy Peterson 46-1 for the supervisor post. Bunny Geiger had 44 votes and was elected clerk.
DEERWOOD
Duane Swanson defeated Dave Ahrens 82-58 for a three-year term as supervisor.
IDEAL
Bill Wortham was elected to a three-year supervisor term with 25 votes.
MAPLE GROVE
Troy Houde was elected supervisor with 14 votes. Norene Warta had 10 votes and was elected clerk.
NOKAY LAKE
Russ Stevens was elected supervisor with 16 votes. Other vote totals for supervisor were Tom Rahto, 13; Myron Stevens, 6; Kathy Stevens, 5; Floyd Hardy, 1. Alan Cunningham outpolled 39-1 Pat Levno for the clerk post.
PERRY LAKE
Ray Montzka defeated Brad Gilmer 16-2 for the supervisor post. Sandy Habighorst defeated Lois Laughton 14-1 for the clerk post.
ROOSEVELT
Don Hyatt won a three-year term as supervisor by beating Gerald Konen 26-4. Bob Kotten defeated Bob Rocheford for a two-year clerk post by a margin of 31-1.
WOLFORD
Ron Bengston defeated write-in candidate Stan Beruen 16-1 for the supervisor post. Rebecca Guida garnered 17 votes and was unopposed for the clerk position.
