Nutrition slogan contest under way in Morrison County

March is National Nutrition Month. The slogan is Food and Fitness: Health for a Lifetime.

However, in hopes of finding a catchier slogan, a nutrition slogan contest is under way in Morrison County.

There are six categories based on the food guide pyramid (grains, fruits, vegetables, dairy, meat/protein, fats/sweets). Participants may enter one or all of the six categories. They can also enter a general nutrition slogan such as, "Eat Right, Enjoy Every Bite!"

Winning slogans will be used throughout the year in nutrition education campaigns. Winners will also receive gift certificates to area restaurants and grocery stores.

To enter the Morrison County Nutrition Slogan Contest, call the Morrison County Extension Office at (320) 632-0161 or e-mail it to gaustin@umn.edu. All entries must be received by March 31.
