Basketball players appreciative

Posted: Saturday, March 22, 2003

The Pequot Lakes Athletic Department, girls' basketball team and community would like to thank Todd Selk and his staff at Brainerd High School for the time and effort that was put into hosting the Section 7AA girls' basketball playoff game on March 1 between Pequot Lakes and Crosby-Ironton. His staff did an outstanding job of directing fans and teams to the proper areas in the gym and creating a playoff atmosphere for all.

Thank you.

'Project Increase'

I would like to thank all the sponsors who donated items for the "Project Increase" Jamaica Missions 2003. We were able to bring almost two tons of supplies to the orphanage and Spring Village schools. Thank you to Greg Larson Sports, Lakes Dental Care, The Office Shop, Community Covenant Church and those who wish to remain anonymous. Also thanks to all the other friends for their donations and prayers who helped make this Mission a success.

Sewing machine fixed

On behalf of the kids in our After School Club, Kinship Partners would like to thank Bill, at Minnesota Vacuum and Sewing Center, for fixing our sewing machine. Now we can get our quilts done! The kids promise to turn the wheel the right way and watch how it's threaded. It is great to hear it running so quietly, too. You were very kind to help us and you are a terrific repairman.
