A wise person once told me that if you are feeling down or anxious in your own life, the best way to help get yourself on the mend is to go out and help someone else less fortunate.
In times of uncertainty, like in our world right now, we can tend to feel like we have no control of what is going on around us. It can be hard to sort through all of the emotions. It is difficult for adults and even more so for children, especially for children who don't have a strong support system.
We have children right in our community who need your help. They need your support, your guidance, your time.
One of these kids is 12-year-old Brad. His parents recently divorced. Having had a very close relationship with his dad, it has been very difficult for him since his dad moved away. He is having a really hard time trying to understand why his parents are divorced and where that leaves him.
He lives with his mom; she does her best to spend time with him but with working full time with two other children at home, there just isn't enough time in the day. On top of his emotions he has to sort through what has happened to his family; he, like lots of other kids, is trying to see his way through the turmoil in the world.
Now, more than ever, he needs someone he can count on and someone who can help him be a kid again. You can make a difference in the life of a child.
