NISSWA -- Alfred Lund, 83, Nisswa, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002, at home.
He was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Madison to Alfred E. and Nettie (Steilmaker) Lund. After he graduated from high school in St. Charles, he moved to Minneapolis. He was a painter. He married Jacqueline Pearson on Sept. 29, 1940, in Minneapolis. He served in the Army during World War II. After his discharge, he returned to Minneapolis and did commercial painting until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Barbara Groseth, Woodridge, Ill., and Beverly Nelmark, Kerkoven; two sons, Brant, Minneapolis, and Brian, Nisswa; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A sister, Marion Peterson, died earlier.
Services were today at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with the Rev. Bill Ingvoldstad officiating. Burial was in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Camp Ripley.
