LITTLE FALLS -- The Great River Arts Association's annual fund-raising event will feature a live and silent auction of works donated by dozens of area artists.
The fifth annual Party for the Arts is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Falls Ballroom in Little Falls.
Kurt Hanson of Bloomington will serve as auctioneer during the live auction. Bidders will receive a bidding number, which can be used to participate in the auction of several two- and three-dimensional pieces.
Other works will be available for silent bids from participants, but the bidding will be open for a specified time before bids will close.
A wide array of pieces have been provided for the event, including pottery from Richard Bresnehan of St. John's University, paintings by Little Falls artist Charles Kapsner and others by Bela Petheo.
Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including wine from Coborn's Liquor Store and snacks from Subway, Pete and Joy's Bakery, Morey's Fish Market, Sheri's Towne Deli and the Falls Ballroom.
The event supports GRAA services, programming and two art scholarships, the nonprofit organization said in a news release. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate. Call (320) 632-0960.
