Mrs. Conrad Bye and Jennifer Raddatz, representing the Crow Wing County 4-H Council presented Ralph Klapperich, president of First Federal Savings and Loan, with a certificate of appreciation from the National 4-H Council for sponsoring 4-H calendars that are distributed to 4-H families each year.

State tournament basketball tickets are hard to come by in Brainerd today as tourney fever grips the city for the first time since 1958. Some 495 adult tickets and 514 student tickets were allocated to Brainerd.

W.L. Wood, superintendent of the Lake Superior Division, Northern Pacific Railway Co., told members of Brainerd Rotary today that the proposed merger of five rail companies would result in the addition of 200 more employees in the Brainerd shops.
