Brainerd Warriors senior forward Megan Bates and junior point guard Emily Thesing were named to the all-Central Lakes Conference girls' basketball team by the conference coaches.
Bates finished with 278 points (9.9 per game), 143 rebounds (5.1 per game), 107 assists (3.8 per game), 62 steals (2.2 per game) and 10 blocked shots. She shot 48.3 percent from the field, 48.1 percent from the line and 33.3 percent from 3-point for the 20-8 Warriors
Thesing finished with 357 points (12.8 per game), 108 rebounds (3.9 per game), 93 assists (3.3 per game), 72 steals (2.6 per game) and two blocked shots. She shot 39.9 percent from the field, 72.7 percent from the line and 31.2 percent from 3-point to help Brainerd to the Section 8-4A final.
Little Falls Flyers' Kendra Hilmerson was also named to the all-conference team. She finished with 266 points (10.6 per game), 89 rebounds (3.6 per game), 30 assists (1.2 per game), 53 steals (2.1 per game) and two blocked shots. She shot 33 percent from the field, 60.8 percent from the line and 28.4 percent from 3-point.
Earning all-conference honorable mention from Brainerd were Kayla Huether, Stephanie Neugebauer and Karlye Barron.
Other players making the all-conference team were Alexandria's Angela Christianson and Gracie Bruzek, St. Cloud Apollo's Andrea Hagberg and Brokke Dunsmoor, Fergus Falls' Hannah Draxten and Amanda Lewis, Rocori's Melanie Hilsgen, Sartell's Maggie Bryant and Sarah Schellinger, Sauk Rapids' Katie Christian, Willmar's Kelsey Evans and Jena Thompson and St. Cloud Tech's Jordyn Sears, Erin Foley and Kristin Johnson.
