The Central Lakes College Readers Theatre class will present the second spring performance at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Bob Dryden Theatre on the Brainerd campus.
The students will present Edgar Lee Masters' American masterpiece, "Spoon River Anthology." Admission is $2 with CLC students admitted at no charge.
The cast includes Josh Anderson and Tara Zierden of Brainerd; Ross Derheimer, Brianna Keran and Joe Niklaus of Baxter; Jaime Bellefeuille of Little Falls; Matt Cummings of Deerwood; Lydia Hawley of Emily; Jennifer Hoppe of Holdingford; Kim Mulroy of Fort Ripley; Derrick Paulson of Nisswa; and Amelia Watson of Merrifield.
"Spoon River Anthology" is a story of Midwestern life. The audience is introduced to the ghosts of those who were inhabitants of Spoon River and whose secrets have gone with them to the grave.
The New York Times calls "Spoon River Anthology" a "brooding and loving American folk poem brought to life on stage."
