Bomb threat empties Mills Ford in Baxter

BAXTER -- A bomb threat forced the evacuation of Mill's Ford in Baxter Monday.

Baxter police officers said the bomb threat was received by telephone at Mill's Ford 12:29 p.m.

While customers and employees waited outside across the street, Baxter police, assisted by Brainerd police, the State Patrol and the Crow Wing County Sheriff's Department, sealed off the parking lot and searched the Mill's Ford building. No evidence of a bomb was found.

The employees and customers were allowed back into the building within about a half hour.

The Baxter Police Department is asking anyone with information about this incident to call police at 218-855-5090.
