Soda multipack

Dear Heloise: When I crave a soda pop while I'm out running errands, I buy a whole 12-pack instead of a single pop.

It makes more sense to buy 12 at $2.50 (21 cents each) than it does to buy one at 89 cents.

TRAVEL BULB

Dear Heloise: When I travel, I always take along a 150-watt lightbulb in its cardboard sleeve in my luggage.

The lightbulbs in the motel lamps are not bright enough to read by, so I provide my own, always remembering to take the bulb with me the next morning! -- John Valaske, Kenosha, Wis.

Please check the wattage recommended on the lamp, because you should only use the suggested size, as using a larger one might cause a fire risk. -- Heloise
