Raymond J. Dowling, 90, Brainerd, formerly of Nisswa, died Friday, March 17, 2000, at Bethany Good Samaritan Village of Brainerd.
He was born Oct. 3, 1909, in Mission Township to Fred and Mary (Kellerman) Dowling. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the Nisswa American Legion and the VFW.
Survivors include two sisters, Edna Pikula, Nisswa, and Eleanore Shipka, Duluth; and a brother, Robert Dowling, Oregon.
His wife, Florene, four sisters, Katherine Schwendeman, Lucille LeDoux, Margaret Gordon and Evelyn Monigan, and five brothers, Lawrence, Edward, Elmer, Donald and Richard Dowling, died earlier.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bethany Good Samaritan Village Chapel of Brainerd with the Rev. Paul Fruth officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military honors provided by Nisswa American Legion Post No. 627.
Friends may call at Bethany Chapel an hour before services Tuesday.
