Other Minnesota Department of Transportation spring/summer road projects:
-- A traffic signal will be added to the County Road18/Highway 371 intersection in Nisswa in May. The project is expected to cause minimal traffic interference and last about a month.
-- Drivers will find a new signal at the Wise Road and Highway 25 intersection with a small realignment of lanes.
-- On Highway 169 a $2.7 million mill and overlay project will cover 18 miles on the west side of Mille Lacs Lake between the north junction of Highway 27 to Garrison. The project starts in July and should continue through October or early November.
-- Highway 64 toward Motley from Highway 210 to the Junction of Highway 87 will mean an overlay for 34 miles. The project includes paved shoulders and culvert replacements. The project is expected to run well into October.
-- Highway 84 from Pine River to the junction of County Road 200 is a carry-over project from last year and will get an early start in mid-April. Completion is expected in July. The project covers nearly 30 miles. But minimum traffic delays are expected.
-- Highway 6 from the Mississippi River about four miles north of Crosby to a point near Emily is slated for an April start date. The $6.3 million project constitutes a total reconstruction of the road and will mean a detour for the whole season. The detour may mean a map to keep roads straight. The detour is west to County State Aid Highway 11 to CSAH 19 to County Road 109 to CSAH 3 and finally to CSAH 36.
Once completed the entire 10-ton highway will be upgraded to a year-round status meaning trucks will be able to use the road during spring restrictions.
