Four third-period goals enabled the Anoka-Hennepin Mustangs to defeat the Brainerd Warriors 5-3 in the quarterfinals of the state adapted floor hockey tournament Friday at Stillwater High School.
Brainerd led 3-1 after two periods before getting shut out in the third.
Jennifer Olson and Dustin Wright each had two goals, with Wright collecting two assists, for the third-seeded Mustangs (9-4-0). Jake Bolnick scored the other Anoka-Hennepin goal.
Nathan Puchalla scored two goals for sixth-seeded Brainerd and Jacob Ray scored the third.
In the regular season the Warriors had lost 7-2 to the Mustangs.
Brainerd (8-6-0) played second-seeded South Suburban (9-4-0) in Saturday morning's consolation semifinals. The Warriors beat the Flyers 6-3 in the regular season. The winner played for fifth place at noon Saturday.
