Jean Couture

IRONTON -- Jean Couture, 85, Ironton, died on Thursday March 17, 2005, in Tucson, Ariz. She was born on Feb. 27, 1920, in Brainerd to John and Hulda (Kangas) Joki. She was a long time member of Immanual Lutheran Church, Crosby. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and was a volunteer at the nursing home beauty shop. She was spending time in Tucson this winter and having a wonderful time with her two daughters, son-in-law and new friends she met.

She is preceded in death by her husband Eugene "Mose," two sisters and one brother. She will be missed by daughters and son-in-law, Nancy Hetland, Deerwood, and Bette and Gordon Kolling, Tucson, Ariz.; grandchildren, Doug Hetland, Brainerd, Jean Kolling, Winchester, Mass., Jill Kolling, Minneapolis, Thomas Kolling, Phoenix, Ariz., and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Immanual Lutheran Church, Crosby. Burial will be at Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby.

Friends may call on Tuesday at the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby from 5 to 7 p.m. and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
