Margaret E. Miller

Margaret E. Miller, 61, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2008, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Margaret was born on Sept. 25, 1946, to James and Esther (Askland) Skow in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She made her home in Motley for many years and moved to Brainerd about four years ago. She most recently worked for Cragun's Conference and Golf Resort. Margaret also loved to cook, watch and feed birds and garden.

She is survived by her son, Shon (Colleen) Himrod, Bemidji, Minn.; her daughter, Lori L. Miller, Brainerd, Minn.; brother, John Skow, Humboldt, Iowa; sisters, Vanetta (Lowell) Heggen, Humboldt, Iowa, Karen Heun, Sartell, Minn.; stepbrother, Mark (Donelle) Skow, Rutland, Iowa; brother-in-law, Elliott Nielsen, Minden, Neb.; special friend, Bernard Hendricks, Motley, Minn.; and four grandchildren.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Services will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at 11 a.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home. Friends may call on Wednesday, March 19, 2008, from 5-7 p.m. at Halvorson-Johnson Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Thursday.
