Holy week schedule announced

Grace United Methodist Church of Pequot Lakes announces its Holy week schedule. Palm/Passion Sunday will have 9 a.m. worship and Sunday school with a 10 a.m. coffee fellowship; Maundy Holy Thursday Service will be 7 p.m. Thursday; and the Good Friday service will be 7 p.m. There will be a sunrise worship service at 7 a.m. March 27 with breakfast at 8 a.m. and a worship service at 9 a.m. Nursery is available.

UCC forum set

The First Congregational United Church of Christ, Brainerd, will have a church forum at 11:15 a.m. Sunday featuring Marian Ridge, director of the Kitchigami Regional Library. Ridge will speak about the general principles of a regional library system and plans for the future. The church is at 415 Juniper St.

Free showings of 'The Passion' offered

Bethlehem Lutheran Church, across from the East Brainerd Mall, has scheduled two free showings open to the public of "The Passion of the Christ." An alternative movie will be available for children. Nursery care will be provided. The movie will be shown 6 p.m. Wednesday and 3 p.m. Friday.

A Good Friday worship service will follow the Friday movie at 5:45 p.m. A Maundy Thursday candle light Communion service will be 5:45 p.m. Thursday.

Ossipee Community Church services set

Ossipee Community Church will have a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. March 25. There will be congregational singing and short messages by both Pastor Hegman and Pastor Eisele. The evening will include the remembrance of the Savior in the celebration of the Lord's Supper.

Easter morning services will begin with a breakfast at 8 a.m. Following the breakfast, there will be a Sunday school hour and a worship service. The message of the morning will be by Pastor Eisele.

The church is on the corner of county roads 109 and 3 in Merrifield.

Park UMC's Holy Week services listed

The Sunday school children of Park United Methodist Church will present a musical titled "Alive, Alive," an Easter celebration, during the 9:30 and 11:15 a.m. worship services Sunday. Services will begin with a procession of palms. The choir will present a Cantata at the 9:30 a.m. service.

Holy Thursday service of Tenebrae with Holy Communion will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Good Friday services will be noon Friday at First Congregational United Church of Christ with Pastor Rory Swenson of Park UMC preaching.

Ham bingo party scheduled

St. Michael's Church in Motley will host its annual ham bingo party at 7 p.m. Sunday in the church basement. Twenty games of regular bingo at $2 a card will be played concluding with a $75 cash blackout game at $1 per card.

There will be door prizes for children and a free lunch to end the evening.

Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hillman, to have Seder meal

Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hillman will have its Seder meal at 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday. A healing service will follow at 7 p.m. The Good Friday service will be 7 p.m. March 25. Easter Sunday services will be 7 and 9 a.m. March 27.

Quilt bingo and raffle offered

St. Michael's Christian Mothers/Women of Buckman will have their quilt bingo and raffle at 1 p.m. Sunday at the parish hall in Buckman. Winners choose their own quilt. A quilt will be given for a door prize. Free lunch will be served.

'Come to the Cross' cantata

First Lutheran Church in Brainerd will hold its Lenten/Easter choral cantata "Come to the Cross" by Cindy Berry, performed by the First Lutheran Church choir and directed by Marcus Aulie, at 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
