A Carl Perkins grant was awarded to help fund a Career Day for all Brainerd High School sophomores on Tuesday, March 7, 2000. Central Lakes College (CLC) hosted this special day to promote vocational and career planning for our students. Staff from CLC and members of the community volunteered their time to talk to our students about a wide variety of careers. Students were provided with a large list of occupations, and were able to choose six career areas that were of specific interest to them.
A lot of time and effort went into making this day such a big success. On behalf of Brainerd High School, I would like to thank the staff at CLC and all of the community volunteers who helped to make this day possible.
Harrison Fun Night
Food, fun and families...what more could we ask for in a fun night? We had over 250 parents and children attend and participate in our Family Fun Night on Feb. 25. Thanks to the parents for making a special effort to attend our Fun Night. The turnout was impressive.
Special thanks to Papa John's and Viking Coke for supporting Harrison's Family Fun Night!
Harrison Elementary School staff
I would like to thank everyone for coming to my Benefit. Thank you for your generosity. A big thank you to Pee-Wee and Betty Lou for arraning the Benefit.
Also a big thank you to my children, Lorena, Jim, Lynette, Charlie and Cheryl, and to all the other I have missed. God bless all who helped.
Camp Confidence would like to thank the Wal-Mart Foundation and Baxter Wal-Mart for their very generous donation to the Campership Program. The donation received will go a long way in providing campership support as well as making a long term impact on the lives of the campers with developmental disabilities who attend Camp.
The Board of Directors, staff, myself personally, but more importantly all who come to Camp, thank you again for being there for us. We can't thank you enough for your community involvement and support!
