Tanner Motors recently announced the promotion of three employees.
Jason Walters was promoted from the Chrysler F&I business office to a sales and F&I management position in the Honda Mazda store. He has been with Tanner since June 8.
Mike Shockman was selected to move into the new car management position. Shockman has been a certified Chrysler salesman for eight years, spending the past five years at Tanner Motors.
Andy Anderson moved into a new management position in the Tanner sales center used car department. He has been in the new and used car business for the past 20 years.
Davidge receives promotion
Eric Davidge was recently promoted to associate vice president-investment officer from investment officer for the Brainerd office of Dain Rauscher Inc.
As an investment officer, Davidge assists individual and corporate clients in selecting appropriate investments. He also helps clients develop retirement plans and money management programs. Davidge also serves as branch management, overseeing daily operations, sales activities and adherence to compliance standards with the office.
Workshop set in Aitkin
AITKIN -- The Arrowhead Economic Opportunity Agency is presenting a three-day workshop called a Lives in Transition Program.
The program is 9 a.m. to noon, March 28-30 at the Aitkin Workforce Center. Topics include goal setting, boosting self confidence, effective job search, developing or updating a resume and how to ace an interview. There is no charge to attend the workshop.

R&H wins silver award
Russell and Herder received a silver award from Admissions Marketing Report at the 15th annual Admissions Advertising Awards. The firm's entry was a series of three brochures designed for Bemidji State University.
Russell and Herder developed the series to help BSU communicate with high school juniors with a goal of increasing enrollment applications from students in the St. Cloud-Twin Cities-Rochester corridor.
Neumans complete training course
Tate and Seth Neuman, Arlean's Drapery Studio Inc., recently completed a training course in On-Site cleaning method at Hayden Lake, Idaho.
The cleaning system dry cleans fabric vertical blinds or draperies where they hang on-site.
Sorensen joins Deerwood Bank
Todd Sorensen joined the staff at Deerwood Bank's Brainerd branch.
Sorensen has 13 years of lending and finance experience and will be involved in the consumer lending and business development. He is graduate of Crosby-Ironton High School and Bemidji State University.
Holtan joins KAXE radio
Heidi Holtan joined KAXE, 89.5 FM, Northern Community Radio as development associate.
Holtan is a graduate of Brainerd High School and the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. She previously worked for the Minnesota Legislative Reference Library in St. Paul and Fronteer Directory Co. in Brainerd. Holtan will be working in the Brainerd area.
Carlson and Lanz attend seminar
Two Aitkin Medical Supply employees, Julie Carlson and Ann Lanz, attend an after breast surgery seminar in St. Paul.
Lanz was recertified as a fitter and Carlson was newly certified as a fitter. The purpose of the seminar was to educate and instruct in the proper fitting of breast prosthesis and accessories. This include education regarding the anatomical and psychological changes experienced by clients.
Schwen receives honor
Jodi Schwen, editor of the Lake Country Journal Magazine, recently received the honor of having an essay published in the March issue of Minnesota Monthly magazine. Titled "The Starting Line," it also appears online on the Minnesota Public Radio Web site.
