The Nisswa Garden Club will meet March 25 at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Nisswa.
Social hour begins at noon with a luncheon at 12:30, followed by the business meeting and program.
The program - "Plant Talk" - will feature a panel of experts answering your gardening questions, with Jim Sherwood serving as coordinator.

Easter party scheduled in Backus March 27
BACKUS - The Backus American Legion will host a children's Easter party from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 27.
Children will color Easter pictures, participate in an egg hunt and play games. Prizes will be given away and lunch will be provided.
Free feeding options class scheduled
STAPLES - Expecting mothers and coaches are welcome to attend a free feeding options class sponsored by Lakewood Health System from 6:30-8:30 p.m. March 29 at Lakewood Health System's Main Campus.
Topics discussed at the feeding options class include the basics about breastfeeding and bottle feeding and helping parents make an informed decision on how to decide what's right for their family.

Masonic Lodge donates bicycles
During February, as part of "I Love to Read" month, fifth-grade students at Forestview Middle School in Baxter read books as well as worked on projects and reports to earn tickets for a bicycle drawing.
Bicycles were presented to 16 students - eight boys and eight girls. The Masonic Lodge of Brainerd provided the bicycles.
Walker Lions Club donates to Faith in Action
WALKER - The Walker Lions Club recently donated $500 to Faith in Action for Cass County.
Faith in Action is a volunteer, charitable organization that provides services to seniors, the disabled and people in need in Cass County.

Girl Scout summer camps taking registrations
WALKER - The Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines are offering girls of all ages the opportunity to enroll in camp this summer at Camp Shingobee Timbers in Walker.
Registering for camp are now being taken. Registered and non-registered Girl Scouts may register. The cost to register as a Girl Scout is $12 and camp programs start at $60 for three days of adventure.
Girl Scout camp is an opportunity for girls to spend time in the summer making new friends, learning new skills, being creative and discovering nature. Camp helps girls build confidence, courage and character by taking on increasing responsibilities and trying new activities in an active, outdoor setting.
Camp Shingobee Timbers features a quiet lake, High Challenge Course, beaver pond, native prairie, archery range, craft cabin, amphitheater, cabins, tent sites and a modern program center.
Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines also offer camping adventures at the Northern Lakes Canoe Base near Ely and Camp Roundelay near Minong, Wis.
