Three Wadena boxers won individual titles and Wadena won the team title in the southern section of the Region 4 Golden Gloves tournament last weekend at the Wadena National Guard Armory.
Dan Soukup, Pine River, decisioned 165-pound T.J. Steward, Wadena.
Derrick Ellingson, 119, Wadena, defeated Joe Widell, Brainerd.
Steve Johnson, 112, and Cody McManigle, 141, both of Wadena were champions in their respective divisions.
Southern section 4 champions will box northern section champions 6 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Palace Casino in Cass Lake.
The Northern Minnesota Box-off is 7:30 p.m. March 27 at the Wadena Armory. Boxoff champions advance to the Upper Midwest Tournament in April at Grand Casino Hinckley.
