Sen. Paul Koering, R-Fort Ripley, met last week with Taiwanese trade representatives who were visiting Minnesota. They discussed building on the existing economic relationship between the two countries.
Koering was part of a state delegation to Taiwan last October to promote state farm products. Last year Taiwan imported nearly $2 billion worth of agricultural products. In 2003 Taiwan bought nearly a quarter of Minnesota's wheat crop.
