The Great River Arts Association in Little Falls is recruiting entertainers for this summer's Concerts in the Park series, which starts June 4.
GRAA hosts a performance group each Sunday afternoon through Aug. 27 in Maple Island Park along the Mississippi River near downtown. The concerts are free to the public. Music, dance and other entertainment that work well outdoors are most appropriate, according to a GRAA announcement this week.

Seventeen magazine issued a "model call" this week to the state's aspiring runway models, ages 15-24 of both genders. The teen magazine is looking for models to participate in its Prom 2000 fashion show at Bloomingdale's department store in Mall of America, Bloomington.
Auditions are scheduled for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, followed by a fashion show featuring the audition winners at 1 p.m. April 8. The magazine says there are no height and weight requirements for the show, which will display the latest trends in prom and accessory wear for teen-agers.

Multiple Grammy winner Carlos Santana has scheduled a concert Aug. 22 at the Target Center in downtown Minneapolis, the concluding date on his 22-stop nationwide tour that begins July 20.
The aging rocker swept this year's Grammys with eight awards. His most recent release, "Supernatural," remains at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 charts.

Former Beatle Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band have been booked for the free Taste of Minnesota event June 30 through July 4 at the Capitol lawn. Starr and his band will perform on the Pioneer Press stage on opening night.
Two former Brainerd High School students are performing with the St. Olaf College choral groups that appeared recently in concert in Minneapolis and Chicago. Andrea Luhrs, a sophomore, is a soprano in the St. Olaf Choir, while Jennifer Erickson, a junior, plays flute in the St. Olaf Band.
