The Nisswa Women's Club will meet at noon Thursday at Iven's on the Bay. The program will highlight harmony consultant, Jenny Baker, who will discuss "Feng Shui: The Chinese Art of Placement." American Legion meeting
The American Legion Auxiliary Executive Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Carl Sydney Hanson American Legion Post No. 255 in Brainerd. This will be followed by the general meetings of both the Auxiliary and the Post at 7 p.m. No dinner will be served. For more information, call 829-2249.

Encore Arts Association meeting
The meeting will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Senior Citizen's Center. Program will be Bill Grange with a hands on watercolor demonstration.
Coffee house concert
There will be a coffee house concert at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Pine River/Backus High School Commons. There will be pies, specialty coffees, hot chocolate and live entertainment by the Pine River/Backus High School choir and band. Tickets will be available at the door. Proceeds will go toward the costs of the upcoming Pine River/Backus band and choir trip to Disney World.
Woodland Good Samaritan Auxiliary
The Woodland Good Samaritan Auxiliary will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in the lobby of the 320 Bldg. at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.
Ladies night out and silent auction
The Crosslake MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group is sponsoring a Ladies Night Out and Silent Auction from 6:30-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Old Fire Hall in Crosslake. The silent auction will be from 7-8 p.m. There are many items on the silent auction such as hotel and restaurant certificates, furniture, books, golf and fishing items and more. 'A blast from the past'
There will be an Elvis fundraiser dance (sock hop), featuring an Elvin impersonator, to benefit the Volunteer Network and Lakes Area Senior Activity Center from 6:30-10 p.m. Saturday at the Brainerd High School cafeteria. Cost: $5 in advance; $7 at the door. Prizes will be awarded for those best dressed in 50's style. There will be 50's food and a 50's atmosphere.

Firearms safety training classes will start at 6 p.m. March 26 at the Brainerd VFW Club with the other classes beginning at 6:30 p.m. Students must by 12 years old. Adult welcome to take the class also. Call the VFW after 3 p.m. to register at 829-6393. Class limited to 30 students. Cost: $10 per student.
Nisswa American Legion
The general membership meeting and celebration of the American Legion birthday will be 7 p.m. Tuesday.
