Miss Brainerd Lakes pageant meeting Wednesday
There will be an information meeting for the 2005 Miss Brainerd Lakes Scholarship Pageant 4 p.m. Wednesday at "The White House" in between Brainerd High School and Mississippi Horizons.
In 2004, $2,700 in scholarships was awarded to young women throughout the program. Pre-pageant events prepare contestants for production and competition, as well as build valuable life skills.
Miss Brainerd Lakes acts as an ambassador for this area throughout the state.
The Miss Brainerd Lakes 2005 will compete in the Miss Minnesota pageant in June 2006. Miss Brainerd Lakes is a preliminary to the Miss America scholarship program.
Participants must be unmarried women between the ages of 17 and 24, living within School District 181. If anyone is interested but unable to attend the meeting, contact Vicki Randall at 851-4808.
