Janie E. Lundeen

McGREGOR -- Janie E. Lundeen, 83, McGregor, formerly of Milaca and Princeton, died Wednesday, March 12, 2003, at home.

She was born June 28, 1919, in Baltimore to Joseph and Eva (Chesonis) Petrouski. They lived on the East Coast. She married Gerald E. Lundeen in Long Beach, Calif. They lived in California and she worked as a surgical nurse. They moved to Princeton in the early 1960s and then to Milaca in 1973. She lived there until moving to live with her children in McGregor in 1998. She was a member of the McGregor VFW Auxiliary, former member of the Milaca American Legion Auxiliary and Onamia VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include three sons, Joseph Petrouski, Santa Maria, Calif., Tom Lundeen, Princeton, and Rick Lundeen, McGregor; four daughters, Barbara Coplan, McGregor, Diann Lundeen, Emily, Mia Fox, Ogilvie, and Janice Venhuizen, Milaca; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Albina Faley, Baltimore.

Her husband, three grandchildren, two sisters and a brother died earlier.

Services will be 7 p.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milaca with Father Charlie Kunkel officiating. Burial will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the church.
