Former fire captain's lawsuit dismissed

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A Hennepin County district judge dismissed a lawsuit filed by a former Minneapolis fire captain who claimed she was discriminated against because she is a woman and a lesbian.
Melanie Metz was demoted from captain to firefighter in 1999 for taking credit for fire code inspections she never conducted.
