PIERZ -- Mary Teresa Kapsner, 91, Pierz, died Tuesday, March 13, 2001, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.
She was born June 19, 1909, in Buh Township to John and Catherine (Bieganski) Banach. She attended school in District 127. She married Fred Kapsner on Nov. 5, 1927, in Pierz. After their marriage, they farmed in the Lastrup area and in Platte Township. Her husband died in 1978. She worked for Larson Boats in Little Falls for 17 years in the upholstery and sewing department. She retired in 1977. She was a member of the Rosary Sodality of Harding.
Survivors include four sons, LeRoy Kapsner, North Branch, Kenneth Kapsner, New Brighton, Dennis Kapsner, Little Falls, and Richard Kapsner, Ramsey; two daughters, Catherine Kapsner, Little Falls, and RoseAnn Tretter, Pierz; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Her husband, five brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter, died earlier.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding with Father Roger Thoennes officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in Harding.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. Thursday at Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz with Rosary Sodality praying the rosary at 5 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m.-11 a.m. Friday at the church.
