Fredrick Arthur Moratzka, 92, Brainerd, died Monday, March 6, 2000, at St. Joseph's Medical Center of Brainerd.
He was born Sept. 8, 1907, in Okabena to Robert and Louisa (Becker) Moratzka. He attended rural school. He served in the Armed Services. He married Myrtle Mabel Fluegel on Nov. 9, 1937, in Casselton, N.D. He worked for many years at Skelley Oil as a serviceman. After retirement, they lived on Gull Lake. They wintered in Safford, Ariz. He was a member of the American Legion Post. They lived at Woodland Good Samaritan Village of Brainerd.
Survivors include his wife; two adopted sons, William Moratzka and Frances Moratzka; two grandchildren; and a brother, Walter Moratzka, Windom.
Five brothers and two sisters died earlier.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Woodland Good Samaritan Village. Burial will be in Elim Moravian Cemetery of Melville Township.
