The Brainerd Sporting Collectible Show is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Brainerd National Guard Armory.
The featured event is the Bob Johnson's invitational fish decoy contest. There also will be a silent auction, door prizes and vendors at the show.
Cost is $4. Proceeds benefit the National Fish Decoy Association and the Brainerd Lakes Area Chapter of the Minnesota Darkhouse and Angling Association.
Duffer's Open April 27
The Central Lakes College Foundation, BL Broadcasting and the Legacy at Cragun's will co-sponsor the second annual CLC Duffer's Open golf event April 27.
Registration is now open to the first 180 golfers.
The day begins with registration at 10 a.m. in the pavilion at the Legacy at Cragun's followed by a noon shotgun start at the Legacy Courses.
It's a five-team scramble but entrants don't have to book a team of five. The organizers can put you with others to fill out a team.
The fee is $50 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf with cart, dinner and prizes. The dinner will start at 5 p.m.
Proceeds benefit the CLC Scholarship Fund and the Raiders' golf program.

Brainerd gymnasts compete at Champlin
Beth, Kathryn and Tiffany Etterman of Brainerd competed for the North Crest Gymnastics Club of Sauk Rapids in the Northern Lights Classic at Champlin March 3.
Beth Etterman scored 8.275 on vault to place 19th, 8.00 on the uneven bars to tie for 18th, 8.650 on beam to finish 13th, 8.625 on floor exercise to place 14th and 33.550 to finish 17th in the all-around.
Kathryn Etterman had an 8.450 on vault (19th), 8.750 on bars (seventh), 8.575 on beam (10th), 8.800 on floor (tie for eighth) and 34.575 in all-around (eighth).
Tiffany Etterman scored 8.725 on vault (tie for 16th), 8.725 on bars (tie for 21st), 8.525 on beam (18th), 8.925 on floor (24th) and 34.900 in all-around (19th).
Wadena boxers compete
Three Wadena boxers competed on card Saturday at Fergus Falls.
Wadena's 135-pound Chandler Green was defeated by Omar Rios of Moorhead.
Heavyweight Elliot Sandberg defeated Steve Pearson of Leech Lake.
Wadena's Trent Petro, 165, scored a referee stops contest against J.R. Robinson, Leech Lake.
Wadena will host the Region 4 Golden Gloves Northern Minnesota Boxoff at 7:30 p.m. March 23. Action will continue at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Championship bouts in Classes A and B and Junior will be competed.
Halverson scores three-peat in LAHL
Halverson Law of Pequot Lakes made it three Hallett Cup championships in a row with a 5-3 win over the Deerwood Devils in Lakes Area Hockey League action at the Hallett Community Center in Crosby last weekend.
Scoring for Pequot Lakes were Tom Zaleski (2), John Fussy, Jake Johnson and Ryan Hokanson. Deerwood goals were by Shawn Roberts, Brian Knox and Tom Savaloja.
In the consolation game, Brainerd beat Maucieri's of Crosslake 14-8. Brainerd was co-champion of the LAHL regular season along with Pequot Lakes. Crosslake finished fourth.
Miss Basketball final five announced
The Miss Basketball of Minnesota Committee has announced the five finalists for the 2007 Miss Basketball Award.
They include Kachine Alexander, Benilde-St. Margaret's; Alyssa Karel, Cretin-Derham Hall; Macie Michelson, Marshall; Angel Robinson, St. Paul Central; and Janessa Wolff, Park Rapids.
The winner will be announced at the 33rd annual awards banquet at 5 p.m. April 29 at the Minneapolis Marriott West.
