FORT RIPLEY -- Linda J. Thoe, 55 year old resident of Fort Ripley, Minn., passed away Thursday, March 11, 2004, at her home comforted by loving family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls with the Robin Nice officiating. Burial will be in Fort Ripley Cemetery in Fort Ripley, Minn. Friends may call from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls. Linda was born on Feb. 26, 1949, in Providence, R.I., to Alfred and Jean (Boorom) Green. Linda moved to Minnesota in 1972. She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Little Falls. She was active in volunteering and politics, and was the editor of the Heartland Christian Home Educator's newsletter until the time of her illness. Linda was a spirit-filled woman who had a great love for the Lord and loved to sing him praises. Linda was the thread that held together the fabric of house and people, transforming them into a home and family. Linda is survived by her husband, Rodney Thoe of Fort Ripley, Minn.; parents, Alfred and Jean Green of Fort Ripley, Minn.; son, Dennis Rich and wife, Patti Chandler; daughter, Michelle Rich of Brainerd, Minn.; daughter, Jennifer King and husband, Jon of Arlington, Va.; son, Andrew Rich of Fort Ripley, Minn.; son, Devan Thoe of Brainerd, Minn.; brother, Stephen Green and wife, Linda of Pawtucket, R.I.; brother, Alfred Green and wife, Ellen of Highland, Calif.; and grandchildren, Maxwell Jonathan King and Allison Jean Rich. "Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord." Pallbearers will be Dennis Rich, Alfred Green Jr., Stephen Green, James Kuiper, Cal Bengtson and Patti Chandler. Arrangements are with Shelley Funeral Chapel in Little Falls.
