HARDING -- Roman Krych, 78, Harding, died Sunday, March 11, 2001, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd.
He was born March 29, 1922, in Platte Township to John and Ida (Marsolek) Krych. He married Loretta "Betty" Block on Oct. 7, 1947, in Lastrup. He farmed in Platte Township his entire life. He also worked for Kainz Construction, Common Wealth Contractors, Crestliner Boat Works and the Village of Pierz.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lyle Krych, Platte Lake, and Bruce Krych, Little Falls; a daughter, Juanita "Nita" Berg, Anoka; six grandchildren; five great-granddaughters; a brother, Joseph Krych, Florida; and two sisters, Florence "Tina" Kappes, Robbinsdale, and Helen Przybilla, Sartell.
A brother, Frank Krych, and four sisters, Mrs. Vernie Kainz, Minnie Gadacz, Agnes Krych and Pauline "Polly" Krych, died earlier.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding with Father Roger Thoennes officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Parish Cemetery in Harding.
Friends may call from 4-9 p.m. today at the Brenny Funeral Home in Pierz, with parish prayers at 7 p.m., and an hour before services Wednesday at the church.
